The results showed something unexpected. The supplement did reduce inflammatory signals like TNF-alpha and IL-ten. That sounds like good news at first.

But here’s where it gets fascinating. The supplement also blocked something crucial for muscle growth. After exercise, your muscles normally increase their mitochondrial content by about one hundred seventy-one percent within twenty-four hours. This didn’t happen when people took the supplement.

The researchers discovered why. Immune cells called phagocytes carry mitochondria into damaged muscle areas. Think of them like delivery trucks bringing new power generators to a construction site. When the supplement blocked inflammation, it stopped these immune cells from doing their job properly.
