No en gran medida, pero s\u00ed lo suficiente como para ser importante. <\/p>\n<h2>Lo que demuestra la investigaci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n<p>Cient\u00edficos de Cochrane, una de las organizaciones de investigaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s fiables del mundo, revisaron docenas de estudios sobre este tema. Quer\u00edan comprobar si comer cacao rico en flavanoles pod\u00eda afectar realmente a las cifras de tensi\u00f3n arterial. <\/p>\n<p>En los estudios se analizaron adultos con tensi\u00f3n arterial normal y con lecturas ligeramente elevadas. Las personas comieron diariamente cacao o chocolate rico en flavanoles durante periodos que oscilaron entre dos y doce semanas. Despu\u00e9s, los investigadores midieron lo que ocurr\u00eda con su tensi\u00f3n arterial.  <\/p>\n<p>Los resultados mostraron algo prometedor. Esto es lo que descubrieron <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>La presi\u00f3n sist\u00f3lica disminuy\u00f3 de <strong>dos a tres puntos<\/strong> por t\u00e9rmino medio<\/li>\n<li>La presi\u00f3n diast\u00f3lica baj\u00f3 alrededor de <strong>uno o dos puntos<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>El efecto fue <strong>m\u00e1s notable en las personas que empezaron con una presi\u00f3n ligeramente elevada<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Los cambios fueron peque\u00f1os pero <strong>consistentes en m\u00faltiples estudios<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Puede que unos pocos puntos no parezcan gran cosa. Ayudan a que se relajen y se abran, facilitando que la sangre fluya suavemente por ellos.     <\/p>\n<h2>Qu\u00e9 significa esto para ti<\/h2>\n<p>Si tienes la tensi\u00f3n arterial un poco alta, el cacao puede ser una sencilla adici\u00f3n a tu rutina diaria. Pero no sirve cualquier chocolate. <\/p>\n<h3>Elige el chocolate adecuado<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Busca chocolate negro con al menos un setenta por ciento de cacao<\/strong>. Cuanto m\u00e1s oscuro es el chocolate, m\u00e1s flavanoles contiene. El chocolate con leche no te aportar\u00e1 el mismo beneficio porque tiene menos cacao y m\u00e1s az\u00facar.  <\/p>\n<p>Intenta consumir entre diez y veinte gramos al d\u00eda. Eso equivale aproximadamente a dos cuadraditos de una tableta de chocolate negro. Tambi\u00e9n puedes utilizar cacao en polvo sin az\u00facar en batidos o bebidas calientes.  <\/p>\n<h3>Hazlo parte de un intercambio saludable<\/h3>\n<p>He aqu\u00ed un consejo pr\u00e1ctico: <strong>sustituye las bebidas azucaradas por chocolate negro<\/strong>. En lugar de tomar refrescos o bebidas de caf\u00e9 azucaradas, toma un par de cuadrados de chocolate negro con agua o t\u00e9 sin az\u00facar. Eliminar\u00e1s az\u00facar y a\u00f1adir\u00e1s flavanoles beneficiosos. Es una victoria en dos frentes.   <\/p>\n<h3>Mant\u00e9n unas expectativas realistas<\/h3>\n<p>Recuerda que la reducci\u00f3n de la tensi\u00f3n arterial es modesta. No sustituye a la medicaci\u00f3n para la tensi\u00f3n arterial si te la ha recetado el m\u00e9dico. Piensa en el cacao rico en flavonoles como una herramienta m\u00e1s de tu caja de herramientas, no como una cura m\u00e1gica.  <\/p>\n<p>La buena noticia es que el cacao conlleva un riesgo muy bajo. A diferencia de muchos tratamientos de la tensi\u00f3n arterial, no causar\u00e1 efectos secundarios a la mayor\u00eda de las personas. Y los beneficios metab\u00f3licos m\u00e1s amplios, como la mejora de la funci\u00f3n de los vasos sangu\u00edneos, a\u00f1aden valor al conjunto.  <\/p>\n<p>El cacao rico en flavanoles ofrece una forma peque\u00f1a pero real de contribuir a una tensi\u00f3n arterial m\u00e1s sana. A veces, los cambios m\u00e1s agradables son los que perduran.
